Fall '08

I'm back!! I don't know where the time has gone, but my last posting was April, so there is much updating to be done.

Happy Birthday Ben!!!

Yes, hard to believe that our little baby is now 1 year old. We had a quiet day on his actual birthday, but family and friends came on Saturday to celebrate. We had lunch, cake and presents. A few photos from that day:

Post Florida Happenings...

We really did drive all the way to Florida and back AND managed to survive! More details later tonight... We had a great time... some photos...Julia at EPCOT

Florida Bound

The countdown is almost done... we are down to jsut one more day before our road trip to Florida. I hope I survive it. Our plan is to leave home at 1am and thus avoid all major cities during traffic. I'll keep posting on this blog to update... stay tuned...

We left SH at 3am, and pretty mcuh drove till we couldnt stand it any longer. It was fun counting down the miles and watching the thermometer rise for the outdoor temp. We arrive in Florence SC to spend the night, then got up bright and early for the remaining leg of the trip, onto Orlando, no traffic and all went well.

Our first day was spent at the pool, the kids loved it.

FUN WITH STRAWS!!!
Well, it is very hard to believe our baby boy is 11 months old now... he crawls everywhere, every chance he gets. He's had his first ear infection and managed to survive that. We are getting ready for our road trip to Florida and back. It's now Spring break for Zachary and he is babyproofing the cabinets for his Mumsy Basil. He's a good egg. We spent last weekend celebrating Grampa's 77th birthday at Southampton Publick House... photos of that can be seen at their website: www.shvillagephoto.com Ray did a fantastic job. On a sad note, we buried Buddy El. He was a good dog and we loved him a lot.

He's on the move!

Ben has finally started to crawl, and is a little bit sneaky about it-- he is very quiet when he wants to get into something. His favorite thing to do these days is to dump out the dog food. He also thinks its great fun to go into the pantry. He is very fast with his walker-- didn't take him very long to learn how to manuver that thing!

Brrr... it's cold outside!!

Well, February really is quite cold today. It's making me wish for Florida even more, only 6 more weeks till our family road trip. This was a whirlwind weekend. We had the OLH Jubilee Gala...

I think everyone had a great time!!

Sunday we took the kids to Atlantis Marine World Aquarium. Ben loved watching the sea lions from the indoors, not too crazy about the outdoor show. After that, we went bowling at Wildwood and then onto Gators for dinner. Ben was really good in the restaurant.

10 months old!!

It is very hard to believe that almost an entire year has gone by... the month of January just flew right by and it seems that winter really is here today. Some highlights from January--



Ben now has five teeth and enjoys food very much. I wonder where he could have gotten that from? Notice the bruise on his head... Daddy says he looks like a man




Here I am working on our Girl Scout bronze award with the South Fork Breast Health Coalition. Hot glue guns are not too much fun. We decorated the canisters for the Chinese Auction at the Love, life and Lingerie party. We put fishnet stockings on the containers and attached a garter and Breast Cancer awareness ribbon. They really came out cute!
